BCCI postponed IPL 2020 due to Coronavirus outbreak

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to postponed the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) till April 15 due to ongoing Novel Corona Virus.The tournament was scheduled to commence on 29th of March.
“The BCCI is concerned and sensitive about all its stakeholders, and public health in general, and it is taking all necessary steps to ensure that, all people related to IPL including fans have a safe cricketing experience,” Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary, BCCI, said.


The news came after the Delhi Government suspended all the IPL matches in the capital.
 "We have decided to ban any sports activity where people will gather in huge numbers like IPL," Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said.
 So far,India has recorded 78 cases of noval Coronavirus,according to Union Health Ministry.The Central Government has taking some measures to control this virus.The Indian Government has suspended all foreign visas coming to the country till 15th of April.So,no foreign players will be available till that time.

 Till now,Coronavirus outbreak has killed nearly 5000 people worldwide.
